What to buy?

Hey guys, looking for a sound system for a room in the house, for music and movies. I want to invest in something of good quality this time.
It needs:

• an auxiliary input,
• the smaller the size of the speakers/unit the better;
• but most importantly, good volume and sound quality.

Maybe a 500 / 600 euro limit. Can something good be gotten?
