Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Landcrusier: ABS and Handbrake warning lights on

    I got stuck today!

Trying to pull a van out and front left wheel went into a drain, four wheels spinning on the ice rink and going nowhere.

Anyway, got pulled out by another jeep but my ABS and handbrake light won't go out. I've disconnected the battery hoping to reset the computer but they're still on. Took it for a tiny spin and ABS isn't working now.

    It's an '05 Landcruiser.

Any experience with this issue before?

Did you check the ABS fuse?

Additionally, you said that the front wheel went into a drain. Did it hit hard?

I think you could have damaged the wheel sensor on this wheel, which could explain your current symptoms. A broken sensor will cause the ABS light to stay on.

    "Common Symptoms

A failing ABS wheel speed sensor can turn on the ABS light and disable the Traction and Stability Control Systems (if equipped). In some cases, the speedometer will stop working and the Check Engine Light will come on.
A malfunctioning ABS wheel speed sensor can cause abnormal braking behavior when braking at low speeds. A dirty sensor can have the same effect and can be "fixed" by cleaning the sensor and the sensor wheel.

check wheel speed sensor wire and plug connection might just be dirt in signal wheel something caught between the sensor and the wheel

    Thanks for the replies.

Must have been dirt or ice on the sensor, it was fine this morning when I drove for a few minutes.

I do have a new issue now, the passenger window will not work off the drivers side switch! Works ok off its own, but with no auto function.
