Does anyone know where I can purchase an authentic Palestinian/PLO scarf in the city?

You might have better luck in the Islam forum.

Connolly Books (The Socialist bookshop) in Temple Bar, near the Purty Kitchen end of Temple Bar sells authentic Keffiyehs and the money raised goes directly to Palestine. I think they are E15 or something.

Hey, sorry bumping this thread. Anyone know where I can get one of these in the city centre? I've tried ringing Connolly Books but can't get through to them. I'd like to get one at lunch if possible...

Connolly Books is closed on Mondays.
Is the Shinner shop still open on Parnell Square? **edit...just checked - it's shut Mondays too.

thanks a mill for that Spurious, you saved me a really annoying cycle in and out of town over lunch. You think they'd leave that as a note on their answering machine.

Anywho, I will take a trip in tomorrow instead then, much appreciated...

For most houses in iteland, the answer would be in the attic or at the back of the wardrobe. These were, in the 80s, as ubiquitous as German army parkas and goth gear.

This. I'm sure I have one somewhere, but Connolly Books should sort oxygen out.

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign online store Makikomi links to is a good bet, OP, if you're still looking. They're a worthy organisation and buying from it helps them stay running.

Thanks Smegging hell, I actually got them something different in the end (was a present). But I will buy a couple of scarfs from that website anyway...
