That is twice now I've seen Bale skip on from a tackle that could have been a free, to lose the ball and get nothing whatsoever from the Ref,

Still I suppose at least he doesn't go down in a heap.

So with Lampard and Drogba on the bench who is likely to be Chelsea's penalty taker should they get one?

Personally I'd pick Malouda over Anelka

Chelsea back-line just cant handle Bale, foul after foul after foul...

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,536 ✭✭✭Dolph Starbeam

The Bale hype from Andy Gray is annoying, he clearly dived a minute ago yet they ignore it and wonde rhow it wasn't a free and then they druel over arun down the left by Bale calling it an amazing run when all he did was run in a straight line, didn't even go past any players and then crossed straight into Cech's hands. He's a good player, very good at times but the hype over him is way ott. Essisn's tackle wasn't that bad either, slightly late but nothing too serious imo.

I notice Huttons made a few two footed tackles so far, some one needs to tell him to stop before he gets sent off

It was an absolute blatant free.

Lennon is so frustrating, he has had 3 great chances to create something so far and he has done nothing with any of them.

    Bang on.
He's a bird brain, loads of pace but no vision.
Every time he has a chance to split Chelsea open he looks as if he needs an extra ten seconds to decide to play the ball, if I were a Spurs fan he's frustrate the hell out of me.

    Glazers Out!

    Which one?

The one where he dived between two players?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,559 ✭✭✭UpTheSlashers

    Class defending by Terry there.

Lennon doesn't seem to know what to do when he gets the ball.

Hutton better be careful, he's had a few two footed tackles so far and could get sent off if he keeps it up.

    Class defending by Terry there.

He wasn't a million miles away from getting his head on the cross, would have been a great goal!

To be fair to Lennon he did well there, maybe a bit more height on the cross would have been better.

I'm pretty sure he didn't look up there though, I know there is a general area where you can put the ball and ask the attackers to do the rest,

But sometimes you have to look up, he had the time, and he would have seen 3 Spurs players in great positions,

Contrast that to when Chelsea are attacking and they have very few getting into those positions!

He didn't look up, you're right.
That harks back to my previous comment about Lennon, he's got great pace but frustrates you with his stupidity.
You'd expect a professional player to be able to look up and give a decent cross in but that's the paradox that is Arron Lennon.

    Glazers Out!

Modric is such a fine player...

Think Drogba needs to come on half time.Cant do any worse than Anelka did that half.Specially with how well Cole/Malouda are doing down the left

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

I honestly dont think Spurs have been that great, its just Chelsea's bad run of form has carried on into this game. Hopefully we can add 1 or 2 more goals in the second half, and maybe keep a clean sheet for once!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

There is no way we should be losing this, we are actually playing really well for once. :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,405 ✭✭✭Lukker-

Defoe looked a yard offside for the initial ball.

    Typical.
