Defoe was a yard offside for the initial ball.

There is no way we should be losing this, we are actually playing really well for once. :(

No midfielders are making late runs into the box though, leaving Anelka to be drowned out of it. Lampard is gonna be a sight for sore eyes.

Lads, yes Defoe was offside but decisions like that happen over the season, we got one at Old Trafford last season we need to take our own chances which we haven't been doing, we have been playing really well but we lack the cutting edge up front, Anelka is coming to deep as usual and nobody is in the centre forward position, we need to get Drogba on.

Interesting match, Chelsea really lacking creativity in the middle of the park, Anelka is seemingly the only one looking to get on the ball in the final third and dropping way too deep for it. Malouda has also been really disappointing.
They are beginning to lose their discipline a bit too, Cole starting to get very far forward and Terry pushing up into the midfield when they are on the ball.

Tottenham pressing fantastically well though. Interesting to see Defoe constantly dropping back to pick up Ramires and Bale constantly hugging the touchline so they can get balls in behind to Defoe. Harry's gameplan is working so far, but you'd be afraid they will tire.

Should hopefully be a lot more goals in this match.

I thought Malouda has been one of the best players on the pitch, lacking a bit in the final ball, but is the only Chelsea player runnning at Spurs. He created something from nothing a good few times that half, just had no support. Essien is playing way too deep. Ramires is just. Meh.

Spurs should have extended their lead by now.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Chelsea coming back to win based on the space Spurs leave for teams to attack them.
So far Spurs have been good value for three points but Chelsea more often than not get what they're after in games like this and their bad form cant continue forever.

    Glazers Out!

When did Didier and Anelka last score in a game?

Andy Gray hyping the Lampard comeback as if Messi is about to come off the bench.

What's Lampard going to do, score a penalty?

I take it you don't watch much PL because you might wanna check his assists . His general presence just creates space for attackers.

Edit: He directly created or scored 39 goals last season, inidirectly many many more. So I doubt you know what you are talking about.

I heard on Newstalk that last time Drogba scored from open play was around the end of October. Anelka, September? Dunno.

They've scored one a piece in something like 11 games and 9 games respectively.

I don't think that really answers your question though...

    Malouda looks fed up.

BAle and Lennon have swapped sides. They've both been very quiet in the second half.

    Defoe off and Crouch on.

How long was Gray praising Drogba before finally mentioning that Gomes will be "disappointed"? Never know how he has a job.

Spurs have wasted far too many good chances here.
You'd put your house on Chelsea winning 2-1 from here.
