Just because Barce can destroy Real, doesn't mean the EPL is a poor league.

No, but if this is the best the Premier League has to offer, then it is a poor league. It's been a terrible game riddled with mistakes from Arsenal and dull defensive football from United.

    Awful match.

Standard in the prem is fairly poor this season if these are two of the fav's. There is just no team playing well consistently. Poor league, but don't tell sky.

You haven't watched Bolton play have you? :pac:

All United have resorted to in the final few minutes is to hoof over the top and Park and Rooney run after it. Shocking stuff.

    That's that.

Commentator talking some ****e about if Arsenal played well and lost it would've been some comfort, it wouldn't have.

    Sigh.

    Man Utd beat Arsenal.

Man Utd top of the table.

Couldn't give a **** what happens in Spain tbh.

Fair play united. They have the ability to do what Arsenal can't. Kill a game and make it boring. Win was deserved.

Great result with a great goal to win it for us!

    Glory! Glory!

Nasri gets a yellow for arguing with Webb but Fletcher gets away with chasing him for 30 yards and even bumping him. Same old.

    Can't argue with that.

United the better team; brilliant finish from Park the difference in the end. We created **** all and generally were ****e all over the place. You'd think the players would be up for a trip to Old Trafford with a chance to go 4 points clear but no, absolutely lethargic all over. Fair play to United they know how to play us at this stage and defended well when asked.

Hugely frustrating but not unexpected from an Arsenal point of view. One positive being Woj; he could develop into something after that tonight. Dealt very well with being dropped into the veritable deep end for his debut.

    Wow Arsenal were gutless.

    Terrible game.

Liverpool being crap seems to equal the league being crap seeing as how it seems to be mainly their fans saying how bad the league is this year.

Anyway, top of the league, better goal difference, unbeaten. Good night all together :D the Arsenal fans have conducted themselves very well in this thread, must be hard with all the 'neutrals' coming in and having their say a lot more than usual...

Not a great game, but it was refreshing to see a solid United defense after Valencia last week.

Nah United did what United do best. Win when required. Arsenal will finish in their usual 3rd or 4th this season and that's all they deserve.

he does look very good I must say, not too much smaller than VDS and very good reflexes. Could really be something if he is nurtured right.

Another piss poor perfromance. Where was the urgency, the belief. One decent shot on target in 90 minutes. Same old, we might as well write these games off at the start of the season, wenever look like we want to win them. Ordinary United performance, but we never made them step it up. Awfully disappointing.

IF Utd win then Chelsea are in huge trouble. Utd would be six points ahead with a game in hand.

Very good performance today without ever been great. Arsenal were quite awful though. I don't remember them even having a shot on goal.

    Anderson was excellent.

If that's the case, then the league must've been crap ever since the Premier League began!

Right suppose this is the cue to exit the thread as the ABU's join in.

As a few of you gooners have said you just didnt get going. So unlike Arsenal to pass poorly. At least you have Cesc and RVP on the way back. I hope to see you get at least a draw at Stamford Bridge - Arse-Utd title scraps are the best.

    Vidic
    Carrick
    Anderson

We won an arm-wrestle of a game, roll on the weekend now.

Ahh they had a few in fairness. But Quazzie's point about the whole team being muscled off the ball a lot of the time stands true.

    MOTM:

Nani - gave Clichy a horrid time of it, provided the cross etc
    Park
    Vidic

    Rafael for me.

Neither Arshavin nor Nasri got much if anything out of him at all.

Good second half - utd had the better chances, ars looked a bit clueless without that extra bit of space in the final third. I would have thought - if they were fit enough - Van P and Fabergas would have started. Ars should have started with the 11 that finished the game I think. Either way Utd top of the pile tonight - but I do think Ars have a chance of being there at the end, still a bit soft in the middle though.
