i used one of those strones to get a reanimate power early in the game, apaprently anything within range will come back to life. While in a dungeon i came across a mage who just keeps summoning a frost astonauch (spelling is def not right) and he kept killing me. It annoyed the crap out of me so i went about two rooms back and gathered all the enemies i killed, dragged them on top of each other and reanimated them all! got 5 very strong friends to watch my back and they ripped him a apart! Happy days :D

I'm practically doing the same (but with a high elf for faster magic regen) but use my sword rarely unless it gets a little to close for comfort and I'm all outa the blue stuff!!

not that bothered with the smithing thou..

yea I'm just finding it really slow to level up my conjuration skills.. maybe I should just randomly summon these creatures.. see if that speeds things up!

You must be involved in combat for conjuration to level up.
Say for instance i summon a familiar or something, just walking along with no enemies, nothing will happen. Then about 20 seconds later a giant bear appears, suddenly ill get a skill-up.

From what i remember its near
The abandoned shack (where the dark brotherhood pick bring you when you sleep)

had 5 reanimate and help me out!

I used another stone a while after and regretted it :( lost the power and havent gone back to activate it again. Must do that!

yea thats how I thought it works alright... Actually.. I forgot about conjured weapons, when you said combat it just sparked it back into my mind..

I have no interest for conjured weapons at all.. Prefer to just carry a sword if things get hairy.

but perhaps if I used a conjured sword more it'll level me up faster... (haver to find a spell to buy now )

Anyone offer any advice on that, I've never used a conjured weapon before? I'm guessing its points for hits/kills with it?
    Effective???

Noticed you can make companions (ie Lydia etc), use things like forges / alchemy tables and so on. Do they actually create anything? Or is it just for show?

Any quick chat window for interacting with them? Lydia's snide 'I am sworn to carry your burden' has my trigger finger twitching

Firing an arrow while crouched and unseen gives you bonus damage, which scales upwards as you level up. So those mages have been going down in one shot for me ;)

Same, an Ice Wizard though gave me some hassle. Ran out of arrows and had to use my dual flames and shout, couldn't engage it as close range, it was making bits of me.

The one time I forgot to buy arrows, meet a tough enemy like that.

if you wait for a few hours, she should come back to you.. provided she isn't dead.. or you didnt tell her to wait somewhere

if you told her to bugger off home, she'll be in the yarls castle or in your home

i *think* if they are waiting somewhere for an extended period of time they give up and just head home.. but dont know how long that time is

Quick question and maybe a little late as Im level 20, but am I wrong to mix armour? I.e light and heavy ?

I was unsure what to specialise in so just went with heavy from the out but then I got a set of thief armor, that was great for sneaking but not keeping me alive. Also the armour it self has
    +20 to inventory space
so I equip that all the time and use heavy gloves boots and helmet etc.

I also took the perk from the lover shrie
    15% levelling on all abilities

Now that I typed that I guess I've just built an Imperial dual wielding thief tank who dabbles in destruction magic

I'm getting levels on both light and heavy armour but I'm wondering if I could be making better use of my build?

If you go the college of winterhold you can get that block spell which is effective for getting into close range if necessary!

if you use just light armor you get big bonus for having solely light armour on.. In addition, if you kit yourself out in one type of light armor (e.g glass armor) then you'll get an even bigger bonus again.. requires you to use skills points on them thou..

If shes not at your house then shes sitting at a table in front of the Jarl of Whiterun, where you got her first.

Yeah and she's got a habit of sitting right behind the door in your bedroom. Whipped out my orcish sword and nearly took her head off when I noticed someone was sitting there :D

Go to the temple in Riften first to get necklace. After that, you just have to wander round chatting to people till you pick someone up. I found my fella in the pub in Riften

oh ffs it forces installation via steam! I wanted to put it on my ssd. However apparently this is not an option, since my ssd is 120GB and my steam folder is over 220 before installing skyrim.

So I pay fifty euro for a crippled version of the game, when I could download a pirate version that I could install wherever I like.

    Great thinking there by Bethesda.

edit: symbolic linking might work around it. Search "mklink" if interested.

I use steam mover to move desired steam games onto my SSD , works great.
