Will there be stamp duty on all leases after the budget?
It used to be there was only stamp duty on leases longer than 35 years or if the annual rent was over a certain amount.

I don't believe there was any such change to stamp duty, perhaps someone with a fuller knowledge of the budget will confirm?

Stamp duty no applies to all transfers of property and all exceptions and exemptions are gone. That is what was announced. Looks like stamp duty non all leases at 1%. On a €1K a month lease, the stamp duty would be €120

It is the transferee i.e. the tenant who will have to pay.
