I have always wanted to be a veterinary nurse but when i was in school my teachers wouldnt let me do it so i decided to do a business course. I have completed two years in a higher certificate in business course and done a further two year add on in Bachelor of Business specialising in Accountancy.

I received a grant in 1st year, 3rd year and 4th year. I didnt receive a grant for my 3rd year.

I have been working as an trainee accountant for the past year and a half. I have always regretted not following my dream of being a veterinary nurse. I now wish to go back and do the vet nurse course but would not be able to afford it on my own.

I was wondering if anyone knows if i could avail of another type of grant ie a mature student etc. The grant i received previously was from the vec. I'll be 25 going back to college. Or would i not be eligible for a grant as i have previously received one?

It depends on the level you finished at in the Accountancy course.
If you got an Honours Degree, you won't be able to get a grant for another Honours Degree. If you just did an Ordinary level 7 course, you will be able to apply for a grant for a level 8 Degree Course. You would have to enter the course at Level 8.
