Xtravision prices doubled!

    Rental of new releases in the wine street Xtravision shop have doubled from €2 to €4. Good news is that just over the road Video City are still doing their €2 rentals of new releases. I don't work there, just nice to support the place keeping their prices down.

    I always try to rent from video city but the selection is awful and lack of blu ray makes it difficult.

    With cheaper prices they can never have the same volume as Xtra-V but I do prefer video city.....always have....

    Id rather rent or buy a dvd/blu ray than download some poor quality crap.

    Yes but not everyone downloads legally and oftentimes its the dvd sales that generate the income for the movie if it didn't take that much in the box office.

    I used to work there and new release DVD rentals were never €2! These were the 'celtic tiger' years though.

    They could do with sorting out/expanding their world cinema collection.
