    I would imagine that it will be open either the first Monday or Tuesday of January to allow students to study for any exams they may have. Can't remember it being open earlier than that

    The Institute will close on Thursday, 23 December 2010 (short day) and re-open at the normal time on Tuesday, 4 January 2011. The holiday dates for lecturers are longer.

    I'd imagine it be opened too. It's open over summer too. A lot of staff and post grads still work over the break.
