    ADELE ANNOUNCES OLYMPIA THEATRE SHOW

    In anticipation of her second album, due for release in January, Grammy Award-winning artist Adele has announced a very special date at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on Tuesday 12th April.

    Tickets priced from 30 euro inclusive of booking fee are on sale this Friday, 17th December at 9am from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and online at www.ticketmaster.ie

    Adele burst onto the scene in 2007 when her debut hit single Chasing Pavements topped the UK charts on its release. Her debut album 19 saw her stock rise even higher gaining the young English singer-songwriter a Mercury Prize nomination for 19 and two Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for Chasing Pavements. The same year Adele was nominated for two other Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Adele was the first recipient of the BRIT Awards Critics Choice award in 2008.

    The following year Adele was nominated again for Best Female Vocal Pop Performance for her song Hometown Glory.

    Adele’s second album, 21, is due for release in January. Produced by Red Hot Chilli Peppers collaborator Rick Rubin and Paul Epworth (Florence and the Machine).

    Tickets for Adele live at The Olympia Theatre on April 12th are on sale Friday 17th December 2010 at 9am.
