I have an opel omega with 5 stud wheels. I am buying new wheels for it. I found a set that fit on an audi and VW. I also found a set that fit a Subaru.
It doesnt mention anything about opel. Do all 5 stud alloys fit all 5 stud cars or what is the difference?

    Cheers

Short answer is no, not all 4, 5 or 6 stud wheels are interchangeable, as the set up on the hub, can and does differ. The distance between the studs can vary from model to model. Theres a specific word to describe this, but cant think of it offhand.

your thinking of the offset which is how far off centre it is. spacers can be bought cheaply.

a quick Google should show the wheel spec for your car or drop into a wheel specialist they'll have everything you need.

Wheel fitments are not as simple as most people think.

Apart from the obvious wheel diameter, width and number of studs, you have to know what the PCD(pitch circle diameter, diameter that the wheel studs are spaced on) and offset(how far the wheels will sit from the hub) and the center bore(the hole in the middle of the wheel which sits over the hub center)

Your car has a PCD of 110mm and the standard offset on most opels is between et35 and et42 and a center bore of 65mm so only wheels with these specs will fit correctly.

An Audi a4 for example has a PCD of 112 and a uses a lower offset

Most japanese 5 stud cars use a 114.3mm PCD.

5*110 is pretty rare. I was trying to locate a 4th aftermarket alloy for a 99 model vectra at one stage when one got buckled...a lost cause really. Was told some Saab models are 5*110. Not sure if any other manufacturers have same PCD but 5*110 is bloody rare.

If you read into Wobble bolts you would be able to get 5*112 (New Vw's, Audi's etc.) and 5*108 (Fords, Peugeots) to fit!

Saabs are Opel Vectras with different badges (except the 900 Turbo which was a real Saab and killed a couple of rock stars IIRC)

I have heard that wobble bolts are risky dont know whether to chance it or not
