Teak frame

Not sure if I am in the right place, I am restoring an old teak frame and when I sanded back the stain I came across pure white fillers in parts of it. You weren't able to see this on the finished frame. Was this treated before the general stain was applied as it doesn't look like it will stain to the same colour. If so, what do I need?
Hope that makes sense. I can add a pic if needed.
    Thanks in advance
