Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there many Irish people learning Italian here?

I'm trying to learn Italian and a few of my Italian friends are looking for some Irish people to practice English with.

I'm putting together a group on facebook so we can meet up in a pub and have a Italian / English conversation exchange.

If you would like to join let me know.

Not a bad idea. I come back to Dublin during the summer months and promptly forget my Italian as I am no longer using it on a day to day basis so if you manage to get something going before the summer I might be interested.

I'd certainly be interested, been threatening to learn Italian for some time (part of my job involves representing an Italian company) and have finally signed up to an online tutorial.

Actually such groups have been around, hosted by various public libraries, for years. The most popular, AFAIK, is in the Central Library, ILAC Centre, Mondays, 6.00 - 7.45pm.

Additionally, for parents Charleville Mall Library has an Italian Playgroup (2 sessions), each Saturday 11.00 – 1.00pm (Tel. 8749619).

This is not to say that you should not organize one yourself, only that they do already exist.
