3-1 for him to score first too... how far he has come

Possibly the most needless match thread of the season! :p

I hope they just express themselves, no pressure after all. Could be fun if they go for it.

What the f*ck, did Babb just wonder why Skrtel was captain ahead of Joe Cole?

    Anyway...

    Eccleston - 1st Goalscorer
    Aurelio - Anytime Goalscorer
    Liverpool 4-0 Win

I would not mess with that utrecht manager... although ...him, konchesky and a battle to the death... now THAT would be awesome

    Great shot Jova.

    Oh Jova, unlucky!

Yet again, a sign that he really be playing through the centre...

What is the commentator on 3e talking about, a second string team is exactly what we have fielded, with the exception of Skrtel.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,373 ✭✭✭Dr Galen

Nice run from jobs alright. Great shot too. Be nice to see more of that from him, the player who looked quite good during the WC.

Dodge moment from Kelly with that backpass. In fairness it's to be expected from him. He is only a young lad. Following the debate about the defence and especially CB be interesting to see how Wilson does tonight.

Do you reckon Poulson knows Liverpool are wearing red?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,146 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Poulsen keeps over or under hitting simple passes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,525 ✭✭✭joe123

Someone needs to tell Trevor that it's Ryan babel and not eccelstone that's picking the ball up on the left. I wouldn't mind but they don't even look remotely the same. Different colour and ones even wearing White boots ffs. Reminds me of the time babel scored and they talked for the next ten minutes about ngogs goal.

    This game is boooooorrrrrriiiiinnnnng.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,140 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

Agreed, this is one boring boring game.

Poor Ricky. I did my collarbone in a similar manner a few years back.

    I ****ing hate POULSON

Channel 5 is far better than 3e and its wretched watery DTT picture.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,146 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Joey Cole very underwhelming so far as well.

I genuinely reckon he has no depth perception. It would explain a whole hell of a lot

Joe Cole is not a wide player, he has to be brought into the centre but in a 4-4-2 he can't find a home. Those two Utrecht centre backs need taking out.

Oh Shelvey - I like the cut of his jib.

Its so cringe worthy looking at this presenter on 3e trying to make out this is anything but a nothing game. "Why are Liverpool so flat!!!??" You can't blame them in fairness.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Well at least The Apprentice is starting.

These lads should be busting a gut to make an Impression. It's obvious now hodgson tells all his centre backs to hoof it every time. This makes me sad.

    Shelvey looks good though.

This is sh*te. I'd have Babel, Poulsen and Cole off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

Did they show which clubs are there tonight scouting Bon wolfswinkle?

crap, I just remembered I have some paint I need to watch dry!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,146 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Kuyt coming on will probably actually lift their fans more than ours (both because he's a former player they love, and because he's not Nando)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,373 ✭✭✭Dr Galen

    Good god is this awful.

I know I know second string side but FFS you would expect the 2nd string Liverpool side to be at least able to put some passes together and fashion the odd shot on goal. Totally disjointed and tbh looks like they don't seem to know what to be doing out there. Blame for that can only lie in one place.

Saying that the crapness of Joe cole, the inability of Babel to play something approaching top tier football and Poulsens lack of..... well......everything can't be blamed on hodgson.

Not all doom and gloom. Shelvey looks like a player in the making. Wilson has looked pretty composed and will be watching with interest as he develops. Kelly hasn't had his greatest night but still one for the future in fairness and wouldn't be harsh on the lad.

Aul Roy is gonna rub his face out one of these days.

I'm surprised Roy has used all three subs with twenty minutes to go Normally you leave the last sub in case of an injury.
