Computer Repair/Upgrade courses?

    I'm interested if anyone has any advice or suggestions regarding a course in computer repair and maybe upgrading too. There seems to be tons of choices and a range of different prices for private courses but want to make sure that I'm getting value for time and effort, so would appreciate a few recommendations?

    I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to computers, certainly on the software and operating systems (both Windows and Linux) but not really on the practical side of things. I also don't end on it to be a primary career, but rather a useful qualification to have and skills to use.
