    Leopardstown (Dublin 18) getting a good flurry now - smaller flakes than earlier but about 3-4cm* has accumulated since this morning. I think it would definitely qualify as a white-out...

    * very rough estimate.

    no wind...and that is the only problem and is so unusual with snow showers..usually it is inland Dublin that gets most of the snow but not at the moment anyway.:mad::mad:

    white out in dalkey. This day is turning out to be historic (weather-wise) for the furthest coastal fringes

    Sounds like you're having some serious snow action today - enjoy!

    Are the streamers likely to increase once night falls and temps start to drop?

    I hear you - my house is about 700m from the Irish Sea so I know it's as rare as hens teeth.

    Have you taken the time to actually read any of the updates?

    Obviously not, as most of it relates to international travel as well as conditions in other parts of the country. But the reality obviously doesn't suit your agenda.

    Very overcast in Dublin's City Centre but nothing happening yet.

    Anyone have any updates for Rathfarnham/Knocklyon?

    Is the power back on in Firhouse?

    Yep power back on only went off for about 5 minutes but enough to give me the heebee jeebies (hmm have not used that term in a LONG time!)

    Just beginning to snow very lightly here now :)

    Not just pretty pictures for the pictures thread but topical for this thread.

    This was taken about 2pm from the cross on top of Bray Head. View of Bray Seafront and Killiney/Dalkey. The Streamers/anvils are those hitting South County Dublin now.

    Foothills of the Dublin Mountains.

    Ok this one isn't topical just pretty :D

    Someone beat me and the dogs to the Cross at the Summit of Bray Head :D
