Some people on here do not seem to know what an inch is, and seem to get them confused with a centimeter.

    ruler_2.jpg

The inches are shown at the bottom of the above ruler.

Edit this may not be to scale depending on your screen resolution.

I'd say the wimmins are quite good at giving accurate measurements for snowfall ;)

Bray is taking a nice amount at the moment. The roads are untreated too.

Heavy snow here on the lovely m1, wondering if I'll ever get home, traffic complete stand still.

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, I've eaten my last Werthers.

Seriously though, how can it take this long?? :(

Snowing for about 30 mins at this stage in Greystones, must be 3-4 cm sitting on top of my car now, quite impressive.

Yea, it's snowing here, and starting to produce a covering, but I dont think it's as heavy as the areas nearer the coast. I'm inland of Rathoath.

yup heaviest snow I've seen this year in Greystones. Just home from work, was driving in almost blizzard conditions.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,369 ✭✭✭positron

There was some snow in Drogheda earlier today - just to top up the over the layer from yesterday.

Snow isn't too bad, but roads are something else around here. Nearly had a brown trouser moment trying to stop the car and the ABS kicked in for about 5 seconds, which felt like 5 minutes! Also car went sideways on a roundabout doing barely 15 kph!

Contemplating if I should be avoid the plan to drive to Dublin in the morning or not...

BBC have a whiteout for me on tuesday night.

  • Registered Users Posts: 239 ✭✭Steopo

Feel almost guilty posting this (given the lack of snow elsewhere for snow lovers, traffic nightmares, prospect of horrendous travel at Xmas) but we're up to 9cm on top of the car in Donabate!! and near blizzard conditions a few minutes ago. Easing off now
