yep, it's a lighter now tho, but still coming and fingers crossed will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. :D

i've actually put a 5min jpeg capture on the webcam now, with the plan being that if we do get some proper snow it might make for an okayish time lapse if i convert the images into a video.

Blizzard in D3. Massive flakes. Water mains just gone too!!! Noooooo!

It amazes me how I can get around better than some people in my fwd 206 even though this is the first winter I've driven in the snow. There's some idiots on the road at the moment. An Audi going around 50km/h slid off the road on a downhill bend in front of me while I was going down it in 2nd gear @ 5-20km/h.

So just be careful, stick to high gears uphill and low gears downhill and watch out for the idiots! And please please please put your headlights on! (Especially if you drive a white car like me! :P )

Been pelting down all morning in the city centre. I can't imagine what traffic is going to be like this afternoon and evening.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,211 ✭✭✭bobbysands81

Anyone know what the forecast for Dublin is this afternoon? Are we likely to see much more snow in the City Centre? I'm just wondering how likely it is that it's gonna be difficult to get home from work and stuff...

    Thank you in advance.

Any of the Mods care to make a stab at the rest of today - Its actually getting scary at how much is fallen... The only 2 roads I can get to main st are " to be avoided" but sure the main st is " to be avoided!" Watching the dog across road there - hes sitting in about 9" of snow on the road its up over his hip bones & hes a big lad.... Just stopped here but judging by the radar she will be back .
