I'm working in Grand Canal Square and we were just told go home as 'Met Eireann is predicting 12 to 14 inches of snow in Dublin today with conditions to deteriorate from 2pm onwards'.

Snow fall is pretty consistent at the moment outside. Visibility must be down to about less than 200 meters...

Runway closing for deicing after 2 holding departures. 20 - 30 (maybe longer more like 40 - 45) minutes to clear this time.

Source for that Met Eireann quote? Nothing on their web site.

It's a blizzard here 2 miles from the airport, expect it to stay closed for a while if this keeps up.
