I'm working in Grand Canal Square and we were just told go home as 'Met Eireann is predicting 12 to 14 inches of snow in Dublin today with conditions to deteriorate from 2pm onwards'.
i'm pretty sure it's centimetres not inches, but you never know your luck. ;)

Snow fall is pretty consistent at the moment outside. Visibility must be down to about less than 200 meters...

someone else correct me if i'm wrong here, but i think the Met are forecasting 12 cms of snow as opposed to inches.

Still pretty horrendous, just a lesser kind of horrendous.

    According to RTE website:

Extremely cold this afternoon with patches of freezing fog. Heavy and prolonged snow showers over west and south Munster and many parts of Leinster, with a risk of thunder. Just scattered snow showers elsewhere but frost and ice persisting. Bitterly cold with highest temperatures only between -7 and -2C.

    score!:D

Very serious indeed, I cleared the paths on our road this morning and was all chuffed with myself. It's now like I never did anything and I think the neighbours are still laughing at me.
