    they'll probably take off and then their wings will freeze and they'll fall out of the sky and die, you've killed them.:p

    gebee really putting water out for Birds in such cold water can be fatal.

    my grandmother always used to get a little robin coming into her garden and after a while he actually used to hop into her conservatory and take food out of her hand. she was convinced it was my grandfather re-incarnated come back to watch over her.

    OMG, he killed my grandfather. again! :mad:

    just kidding. :pac::pac:

    If you put food on your window sills they will eventually start tapping the glass to be fed....kids love it! Robins are very clever that way.
    I don't think I have ever seen the variety of small birds that I have over the last few days.....the few yo yo's in seeds is well rewarded with a great show.

    ah man wasn't really my fault tbh!,poor robin just went for a quick dip around 1 or so yesterday and it was so cold he actually froze!,

    Vodka won't freeze at this temp, you'll know what to leave out next time

    Yeah we can enjoy the non penetrating sun for the rest of the afternoon :D We might make a balmy -2 down here today :pac:
    Just as well we got the heavy falls earlier in the month, otherwise watching that radar this morning would have been a sickner :cool:

    Still a bit sickening looking how close it came and then the snow shield pushed it back ;)

    Because the airport is closed?

    Though 'tis a bit odd that none appear to be circling around, maybe radarvirtuel is not receiving the data?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,081 ✭✭✭irelandspurs

    Radar virtuel is crap, use http://casper.frontier.nl/eidw/ instead, its brilliant, only thing is theres a 15 min delay unless you want to pay.
