Bucketing down in Dublin 4. I absolutely LOVE the snow but at the
same time am now worried about getting home for Christmas.

All this talk of trains being booked out scares the **** out of me.

Depending on when you're going a bus could be a better option.

Very heavy snow in Sandyford right now. Very poor visibility. Nightmare to drive in I'd say. Lots of lying snow on the roads in the estates.

Just measured the snow in my sheltered enough back garden. 7 inches and snow falling (from the sky) fast!!

Ah here, this is getting silly now, there's a blizzard in D16 right now. I cleared off the handrails on the steps in my apartment block about 15 minutes again, getting rid of about half a foot of slow and it's already half as bad as it was before.

Yeah it's heading straight for Dublin at the moment and building in intensity too.

    Whats it like in Heuston?

Roads were ok, easily driveable. No traffic. Don't know what its like now, cause I'm working 2 minutes walk from where I live :-D

Absolutely lashing snow now in Dublin's CC, this event is clearly going to dwarf the snow of 2 weeks ago. It looks like we will have snow all the week the way things are going. We will have a foot by the morning I'd guess.

Potential 5 mile walk home this evening....the joy.

Oh no, that car is going to be totally destroyed......

That stuff coming in from wales is epic! Looking like it'll make landfall about 1630/1700 according to raintoday. Gonna be another interesting "rush" (crawl) hour!
