Graupel here now - not the dry stuff of earlier but wetter stuff. No rain atm. But I think we are on the margins. Inland should be fine though.
darkman2 how do things stand atm,are things very marginal at coast& if so will temps turn back in our favour?

I measured it at eight inches here in Stillorgan, south Dublin (not all of that today.)

 Did you manage to measure the snow depth too?

Shake the snow of it if you can reach it...worked for me last time. I think the weight of snow on it pushes it out of allignment

No, the snow just blocks the signal. Throw a football at the dish to knock the snow off.

It's going to get something but as Darkman has said, the temps have gone up around here - about +1C in Howth and Malahide, so the question is snow or hail or water or all 3

Is anyone in Wexford seeing snow yet?

What are our chances of more? I'm down near Duncannon/Hook Head. Will any snow clouds reach this far?

I dont really know how to read charts etc. so need someone to spell it out for me please.

    hanks

Thought we had rain too, but I brought out a black towel and can confirm its just very small graupel. At least here anyways, 8 km from the coast!

Should do. It's gone messy here - wet graupel and bits of snow thrown in.

The winds are NE so this is tracking a bit over the land before hitting the CC, it is all graupel and snow. There is no rain in the CC

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

    snowing in kilkenny

Was out, mix of light rain and snow flakes.

No real signs of a thaw though, wind blowing snow off trees and abit of drip drip off them but that is all.

But a bit disappointing, 7 inches of snow lying.

None of the buses serving balinteer, m50 at dundrum was a mess at 4 trucks stuck etc, can't imagine it is much better now..... Last night it was a disaster. Public transport there if you really must go I'd say
