The clouds have broken up in D.16 now. Its getting windy and there seems to be a rise in the temperature. A slight thaw is on again. Bah, stupid physics.

Either way the pig/crocodile/bullfighter is COMING to get us!!!

NO THAW here in Firhouse - hail about 40 mins ago and

    temp is still -1.5

As I sipped a Bordeaux (from Aldi) in the garden it got heavily DILUTED by the farging hail.........and I nearly dropped the ciggie.......
    Drama, Drama :)

Definite temp rise in donabate earlier this evening. Really minor thaw, the drip drip was noticeable. In the past half hour though Its felt gradually colder outside, no thermometer to verify but I'd guess temps dropping again. Sky has cleared right up too.

I can be pretty sure of all the above as sine 7pm I have been outside with the local kids building the best mutha of an igloo ever ! :)

Yeah several people mentioned it here, its snow on the Sateliite dish. Someone said throw a football at it, I would maybe try a tennis ball a few times myself. Or a water balloon with DeIcer and Warm water in it.

Also it started snowing again in Athboy, temp trending up slightly, -3 now.

Yeah, very strange. I pointed this out a few hours ago and someone said it because the wind was onshore (at Dublin) The wind was onshore at Dublin at 9 am too and it was -10c. There's a warm sector in that small depression in the Irish Sea.

I like to play a little game, hide the cans around the garden in different spots under the snow. It gets harder and harder to find them as the night wears on. Heading out again in a min. You have to do it barefoot though. Shoes or socks is cheating.
