Has the snow effected anyones Sky+???

I had the same prob tonight in a friends house, Sky was showing no signal even after a re-boot of the Sky box, anyways his dish was low down so I took a look out the back and the antenna arm was coated with snow and blocking the signal, a quick brush off with a broom fixed that pronto, if you dish is high up wait until daylight to clean off the arm.

foxinsox, what part of carlow are you in?

In a secret location about 3 miles north of town :)

    Current temp.. Tullow reading -7.4c

Just started snowing here again, small flakes but a lot of them..

For all those poor people stranded at airports, bus stations etc. and with the quotes from Dumb & Dumber it made me think of this scene:

NSFW or for small kids !! :p

At Howth Temp to its highest of the day @ 1.5c/ but DP @ -0.6

I have went outside and a bit of drizzle, positively or negatively, depending on your viewpoint, a layer of ice has formed on top of the snow, so this should seal the snow for a while.

    Thaw very gradual now.

Well MT on his forecast thread was saying that if the winds start to blow off shore the temps should go down over dublin. Looking at the snow falling here the snow was falling from an east to west direction and the temp here got up to 0.2c a short while ago, the snow started falling the other way from west to east meaning the wind blowing off shore? and the temp fell, becoming dry here now and partly cloudy temp now at -1.3c

Temp risen to 0.3 here 10 minutes ago. Cloud cover really warming things up. Just down below in Carlow its a steady -7.4. Hopefully a break in cloud cover will bring things down help the blanket of snow hold out any rise in temps tomorrow.

Take that with a pinch of graupel. It just moves the precip in the direction of the flow at the time!

    Fixed that for you. :D

Reminds me of myself talking to the raintoday radar a few days ago, but replace the word "car" with "snow shower".

Also earlier in the off-licence when I realised they'd run out of my favorite beer. Happy now though, got the snow and a decent replacement beer :)

That's a bit harsh. Remember owenc? And even owenc was tame in comparison to john1994 from Limerick! He was a cut above the rest, anyone else remember him?

I'm not comparing you to them Brenireland by the way, just putting things in perspective ;)

    And when?

Encouraging that dublin airport is back to 0 degrees and light snow recorded. Feels like it has cooled down in Malahide and wind has eased off slightly
