I'd say its entirely possible, all be it with the odd mild spell here and there. And the word 'mild' is open to interpretation.

Fair play to public transport! Got to dundrum via dart and bus earlier during some of the heaviest snow, spent the day out there and just got the luas and bus back now without any problems at all. Everything ran and in good time too!

Agree with that. Left at 2pm today to head into town, 3 inches in Clondalkin...expecting travel chaos

Got the last bus home at 10pm, not a soul around, 20 minute journey, 7 people on it. No difficulty really except pulling away from some stops

Home to 7 inches of snow lying flat and 10 in drifts. WTF

This is wrecking my head watching Bray Dp rise and fall between -0.7 and +0.5 and watching the radar show precipitation dying out over the see off the est coast. Think I am going to head to bed. At least I'll have no problem getting up for work on time without hitting the snooze button too many times. Soon as I achieve conciousness, I'll undoubtably leap from my bed over to the window to see whether I am greated by a slushy thawed/rained on mess or another few inches of fresh snow.

BBC at 10pm had rain over the east coast at 8am tomorrow though. :(

I have been following your posts last few days. I laughed and insisted my not interested other half look at your earlier sad radar face. Of all of us I sincerely hope you get your snow. Happy christmas Calibos

Some of the parts across the water where these showers originated today must have got buried! Some of those blobs showing really heavy stuff have just oscillated back and fort all day over roughly the same areas!

    Opr

BBC always have rain for east coast and predicted rain in Dublin the last couple of days, they are useless. Their priority is naturally around uk

    Temp plummeted to 0.2/-0.7c

so snow is still more than possible.

    Shame about the side hit.

    Very windy here and dry.

were still getting nothing in the midlands :(

I could be wrong but judging by radar I think the Welsh Dragon is tracking to the south of Dublin so depending on your outlook this could be bad or good...!

    Bad = no more snow
good = people getting flights etc and no more disruption

Clouds coming overhead here in Dublin 12 now, approaching from the north east. In fact, just looking and almost complete cloud cover. Here we go again. I can't see out the front of my house from where I am (in attic) so I can't tell how far inland its reached for those in the vicinity of crumlin/walkinstown/drimnagh etc. Should see something fairly soon.

Snowing here now. Light to moderate at the moment. Think it might be the blob that hit howth/malahide moving west.
