I think most of this current batch is going to hit the Dun Laoghaire/Bray area.
Really bucketing down here at the moment, between Dun Laoghaire and Blackrock.

Althought latest radar pic moves it more east towards South Dublin too.

That's what I thought too. Very light snizzle here now. 100% cloud. -0.8c atm.

Think you could be right. Just after getting off the bus at Charlesland and walking up to Eden Wood. Big, feathery flakes of snow in the air now - not many yet, but I think it bodes well for things to come! Some very ominous-looking clouds coming in from the coast too...

& foolish me was thinking no more ..... Just seen a tractor come up road there delivering fire wood.... novel way to get up.... 1st vehicle i seen move all day here.

Ive no measurements but mama smurf waded down the drive today - halfway up her legs..... We got it bad in January, bad 2 weeks ago but this is taking the biscuit now..... I thought no more had fallen overnight but when I checked the back tables that the kiddies had cleared yesterday a further 3 inches fell since 5 pm yesterday ......

Where are you seeing this? The latest radar appears to show the streamers have almost fizzled out

Yeah I'm afraid you're right. The winds have gone more northerly and the streamers are fading away.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,682 ✭✭✭LookingFor

They look like they're barely hitting the coast before fizzling. We need a more easterly tinge to the wind I think (if you're the type who wants yet more snow of course ;)).

ME 3 hour indicates precipation for the Dublin region.
