I've to get from Carlow to Dublin on Friday and then out to Dun Laoghaire..

Frankly, the situation on the roads might chance 10 times between now and Friday, but in general you should be able to make it, just double (at minimum) your usual driving time.

Anyone been on the roads around Dun Laoghaire, Sandycove, Dalkey, Killiney?

    Have they been gritted/salted/garliced?

I've to get from Carlow to Dublin on Friday and then out to Dun Laoghaire..

Any of you been driving these roads?

    Thanks :)

Yip. I was on them today and they hadn't been ploughed or gritted but were still ok to drive on which doesn't matter to you really because they started ploughing and gritting at just past four today which is what you want to know.

I just wanted to let people know im super great at driving in snow and stuff.... Go me!

I'm closer. Give it to me. Dalkey already got 5cm today. All I got was 5mm. Supercell can feck off. He may not have gotten a huge amount in D4 this year but he got a lifetimes worth in Anamoe last year.

Strange as it may sound when I was there I was sick of it after a few big blasts. But here in Ringsend I miss the ridiculous amounts Annamoe gets every year.

I think I have a problem! My wife doesn't want to move back there either so my current plan is to move inland a little :pac::pac::pac:

Thanks, yeah I know it could be summer by friday :p

It's going to be a stressful drive if conditions stay the same..

I might ask ye all again tomorrow night..

I really don't want to end up having boiled eggs and toast for christmas dinner :(

    Thanks :)

No, it will probably widen as the clouds move south over the warm hair dryer that is the city centre

Yeah was out in that. Not heavy but nice fluffy flakes. Missed that shower really by a km or 2.

Or it will disappear. Most of it dissappears after travelling inland.

That blob has fizzled significantly as it moved over ground on the latest update. Wonder if it will even get as far as here (South D15).

My oulfella got home safely tonight. Took him about an hour by bus.

Very light snow just started here. I expect it won't last long and will be weak based on the radar.

I see there is more snow forecast for tomorrow, is it supposed to be as deep as yesterday ?

I am expecting someone to arrive into dublin Airport tomorrow,
I expect delays but not as severe as it was yesterday-touch wood!

I have a theory that the moon scares the snow clouds away.... Discuss.
