I would say we have had another 6/7 cm here over night and this morning in Dublin 15 and it is still snowing heavily. That is about 30-35 cm on the ground at this stage and the wind has caused some drifting in places. Abolute Whiteout a the moment.:D:D:D

Tell me about it, got up, saw the fresh snow, feic it said I and went out and cleared it before it got compacted. Came in, had breakfast, saw it was snowing again and now everything is completely covered again. Jaysus.

At least Superquinn is relatively close to you.
I was up in Liffey Valley and it was like first thing in the morning on a January weekday, I.e. deserted!

A white out here near Arklow at the moment.
It's been snowing on and off since about 4 am.
    A fresh 3 inches has fallen now..
I make that a grand total of over 20 inches since this spell started in old money.
You can do the maths on that in cm's but I'd imagine it's a lot :D

constant heavy snowfall here since 7.30 this morning and it is still pelting down and does not look like stopping. 'Isolated snow showers' according to Met Eireann...Yeah right. At the rate the airport will be closed again I would say.

Snowing heavily in Naas now. So glad I put winter tyres on my RWD, snow's not been a bother at all since it started!

    Hopefully it keeps up.

WX HIGHLIGHTS -- Cold in the eastern half of North America except in eastern provinces of Canada near the Atlantic where quite mild and wet.

This may concern a few travellers -- snow may break out today around Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam. Expect a few delays if heading there.

MT - any idea how the weather will be in New York from Friday to Sunday?
