I decided that the only way to measure the depth of snow accurately was to go out there with a ruler ....:D

This is what 6.5 inches looks like :pac:

here we go more corkitis...blah blah blah

I'd appreciate it while you can, the Dubs will be as thick as the Belfast snow round here if even one of those showers make it across the country.
Then you'll be crying out for the soft Cork accent to return. :)

No snow here, but it doesn't matter because it's such a wonderfull place anyway. :D

    Edit:
See post above this. uh oh.....

Oh no. There goes the thread. Cue missing half the posts as it travels along at the speed of light.:D

Nice heavy shower a little while ago in Galway city

    Hi all, first time poster.
We got about 1cm of snow earlier in Whites Cross, Cork, which is about 4 miles north east of the Northside of Cork City. Current temp is 1 degree, and what is currently falling from the sky is mainly sleet/rain

snowing in dublin but only very lightly, not even worth mentioning!!

Becuase the met.ie radar can't see it properly having only two radars, one in dublin and one in shannon. the Uk Met have one in belfast and use our two aswell. Why the Irish Met don't get radar data from the Belfast radar is a mystery to me.
