Snowing like billy-oh. Was lucky to get here (hills behind Bandon) before it hit. Am now stuck here. Is it going to get much worse?

Have a very quick shot of a ruler which I'll post a little later.

Was busy getting ready for hitting the road tonight.

Be careful not to allow too much snow to accumulate on shed roofs etc in the garden. My back shed, asbestos roof, cracked last week under the weight. Since, been propped up, bolstered. Raked the snow off the roof. Surprisingly heavy.

It was an old roof, but watch out anyway...........

Absolute beautiful sight here in Kerry, the moonlit night lighting up the magical landscape left behind in the snow.

Got a sleety rainy type downpour there a while ago that crystalised the top 1cm of snow cover and really damaged the nice appearance of it. Westerly windswrecking havoc again, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it was all gone when I wake in the morning unless we either get more significent snow or the temp drops to below zero.

Enniskillen has been blasted by snow this afternoon and evening, now 4 inches on the ground, with many back roads impassible.

Reports this morning saying there was over 5 inches on the hills this morning, and that was before the heavy snow showers really started making inroads, by now there must be at least 12 inches on hills and mountains in Fermanagh. Main roads are passable with care, but back roads are a no-go!!
