Rather like the Chrome short-cut colouring scheme. Still, I've seen a lot worse designs on my work website.

Wubi is taking the colours from Windows

and the Ubuntu logo

I don't know if the assertion is that Ubuntu are copying the I.E.C but they aren't, these logos have been around for ages.
