Hey there, anybody got any suggestions on where to get a decent A3 sized photo frame in Dublin? I was thinking of going to Harvey Normans but they are normally expensive to shop in...

How about Ikea, some cheap and cheerful ones there

I'd say Ikea, they have decent enough frames.

I was in ikea last night and was impressed witht he range of frames they have, styles and sizes. Well worth going down there for a look.

You cant beat a custom frame, I have tried both HN and Ikea and found them lacking.

Probably for your standard alright, but for an amatuer like me who wants something cheap and cheerfull they do the trick.

They are not as expensive as you think, shopping around and having a few framed at the same time can drop the cost.

I was in Harvey's in Drogheda a few weeks ago, and seen some of their photo frames. Didn't even know they sold them. They're about €35 - €50 I think, but they com ein big enough sizes.

To be honest, I think they've got some lovely frames. I absolutely loathe that store (not Harvey in general, just the Drogheda store), but I'm tempted to pick up some, sometime (though I'll need to find a use for them first).

I would recommed IKEA also. The frames are reasonably cheap and cheerful but look fine on the wall.

    I know i am biased

    but

just be careful with some of those ready mades

    for 2 reasons

    1. a lot of them are not real wood, they are MDF painted, which can be an issue for stability at larger sizes

    2. the mounts in them are generally the cheapest of the cheap, and WILL degrade your pictures very quickly. I recently had to reframe some shots for someone, they had been in ikea frames for less than 6 months and the prints were already damaged
