Tenant and oil

I rent out a room in my house to a guy, he leaves for work about 6am and doesn't come back till 7ish. Now when he moved in last May I stipulated the bills would be halfed which I think is the norm. I don't make him pay for SKY as he doesn't watch TV in the sitting room, in fact when he gets in from work he makes his dinner…

After all the hassle he paid for the oil before Christmas and then on Monday night he told me he was moving out as his hours at work have been cut and his wages being reduced by €50 so is moving home. He is moving out in mid Feb. Never mentioned the oil but then I did check the oil tank at the weekend and by the time he moves out I am guessing there will be around the same amount of oil in the tank as there was when he moved in. Now the hassle of finding another tenant.
