New Android Market UI released on my Desire

Just checking here, but anyone else gotten access to the new market UI that was mentioned a few weeks ago. Nice, smooth interface. But has the same feel/structure to it.

It happened to me yesterday or the day before.

Yeah, it just appeared for me suddenly. I entered the market and it just showed up different from the last time I was in it. Try rebooting your phone and it might show up. I rebooted mine in the last day or two, that could be it.

I dont miss the tabs so much. The info is still there, it's just in a list now, hidden away behind the 'more' button which slides out to show you the info, reviews. The permissions show up once you ask it to install and you click the same button to confirm installation.

I still don't have it. Just rebooted, cleared cache and deleted data.... Nothing!

I'm pretty bummed out, my day is ruined. Cancel Christmas until I get my Market Update.

Just checked for updates there and it's downloading now!

*edit* it was just a system software update but it doesn't appear to have changed the marketplace...

is there any way to block the market from updating? when i update a lot of apps are missing on the rom im using, they are there on the old store though if i remove the updates but the store is updated again within a couple of minutes. is there anyway to block the new one altogether?

sorted this if anyone is interested. go into /root/app with a root browser and delete marketupdate.apk

Turned up today on mine, looks very nice, not really too sure why you would want to go back to the old one as youll be used to this one in a fairly short space of time
