I like Colm Murray but god almighty what is this endless monologue doing on TV.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

Any of ye soap fans here (i.e. girls) might remember Mags from Fair City had Motor Nueron's... she lost control of pretty much all oratory functions... had to leave the series... was on the LLS talking about it and died about six months after it... ..

It's a horrible, degenerative disease.. I feel sorry for Colm, he's always come across as having a real love of his sport... A decent guy..

Does Lou Gherigs disease make you a ****e story teller???
I usually like Colm Murray but dear god this is brutal!!!

"Now, my story begins in 19-dickety-two. We had to say "dickety" cause that Kaiser had stolen our word "twenty". I chased that rascal to get it back, but gave up after dickety-six miles…"

Edit:This was said in jest before I knew how bad Lou Gherigs is.... I feel bad now :(

God. Ryan's face when Colm said, "I don't know if you remember the 30th of March..."

Has Ryan actually asked a question yet?

He probably asked the odds on himself being diagnosed. Shame to hear he is ill but he is known to have visited a good few bookies over the years.

He's a good man to talk, isn't he?

    *Interview starts*

Tubridy: So, how are you, Colm?

Colm: Well, *continues to talk uninterrupted for 20 minutes*

    :D

Nah, only kidding, it's an interesting story.

He's an awful nice fella but this is the TV equivalent of sitting on a bus beside some OAP who's gonna carry on talking whether you like it or not.

Is this a promotion for Lou Gehrig's disease? I hope he is alright though, God love him.

Though, to be fair, Kenny started it. I don't remember it being half as .. tragic .. during the Gaybo years. It was all Lenny Henry falling off a chair and young Perrier winning comedians outraging the Churchies back then.
