Just home, had to shoot a couple of foxes for a lad, almost turned stormy gales and rain, calm as you like out now...... Climate change has become climate multiple personalities.

Getting gusty in the last hour in east Wicklow and raining

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,714 Mod ✭✭✭✭blue5000

Wet, cold and miserable. Cattle are under the hedge. Saw sheep shorn under a hedge last friday night, bet they're fairly miserable this morning. I am going to email the relies in Oz to see if their winter is better than our summer. I reckon a shorn ewe would rather be on a bbq, that's if you could light the feckin thing:eek: Mrs wants the heating on ffs.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Read something about this lately, the freezing Irish woman syndrome. Apparently the cause of it is the different way fat (careful now) is distributed around the body in men and women. Because of that women feel the cold more than men, but women can also stick a hotter shower than men.

Useless, and possibly dangerous fact of the day.

Read something about it earlier in the year, but they don't know it's effect on Europe.

Crazy to see the leaves stripped off the hedges. Just an awful evening here in Cavan. Out with stock there and they're crammed in under a big hawthorn hedge.
