Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lashing here again, and we had a lot of rain overnight as well. Fields full of water again this morning...

Misty here in Kerry this morning but very mild. Land dried up quickly yesterday but some lads on heavy ground had cows in last night.

Todays rain could make it an early start to winter for some lads.

Raining all morning in cork, agree with the next few days rain, Fri softened the ground and today and tomorrow could saturate it particularly any areas with not much of a slope

Still pissing here since 8ish. Not great for us Kerry boys. Just in from giving the girls a bale. I held them back after milking thinking it would clear but it never happened. Gave em a bale of rocket fuel and opened the gate so they can toddle off later if they like. I can do no more people I can do no more.....

Had cold shower last night. First time since April that solar hadn't enough in tank. Had to let the boiler kick in for an hour. Been terrible here since Thurs evening. Lovely fresh morning!

Spiders silk thread. You often see it this time of year on bushes as baby spiders head off on their life journey.

You get them too but but you also get really long threads that float in the air with a little spider on the end of them. Sometimes if your out herding you will feel them across your face :D

I hate those things. Would often be out at 2 or 3am checking a cow and it terrifies me very time!

Horrible enough day in west cork, going from rain to a heavy mist, and cold enough with it. Feels like October... :(

That's for sure, lotta rain after falling here since morning (also in west cork). I'd say a nice bit more than the 8/9 mls forecasted. Really need to get something for measuring rain

Raining here since morning, and still drizzling heavy now. Had to change tack with the cows and let them to drier ground, no damage done though. Has really been that kind of yr.

Pretty bad day here. Wet wet wet like the song. Very poor grass growth, thankfully we have a good bit of silage, we might need it yet:P

Nice enough morning here, typical autumn foggy with the sun coming and will hopefully dry it up in a hour or so. At this stage as long as it is not actively belting down with rain I'm happy.
