Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hahaha, yea, it's great craic having a cat thumping on your window four times a night.....why did I ever teach him that. It's not so bad in calving season at least.

Maybe he thinks you've an all year round calveing herd

Will be housing fulltime here next week, said I'd take advantage of dry weather and try and clean out paddocks and will have everything grazed by then. Would have had to house by night start of last week to stretch things out but graze out wouldn't have been as good and would have gotten caught with rain at some stage Heifers and dry cows will have another week or two out and maybe yearlings depending on weather. Will have high spring demand so should be ok if there ends up being good growth over winter anyway

Have to shelve the idea of putting roof on new shed.

Not so easy to get things done when you have a job along with the farm.:o

Wet and windy in west cork. Lying in bed this morning it sounded like January and February of 2014 with the wind.
Local contractor had been on to me about giving a hand hauling maize on a long draw today. Farmer in question was convinced today would be ok. Sometimes I wonder what forecast do they be looking at.

Had a bit of rain last night and the cows were on soft ground and no damage so small enough amount. Going back in again tonight to clean out hopefully.

We just had a little Aa bull born in the field-didn't think the cow would calf for another few days. Wasn't happy with her today thou checked her a couple of times and she calved in an hour.she must have calved in the lashing rain. She was in a lovely sheltered spot thou and both cow and calf are doing well. Not a nice welcome to the world for the calf thou! We didn't have any where to put her in today-weather messed our plans up!!

Supported Fbd 's property empire in Benalmadena. Twas OK weather bit hit and miss over the week. Probably go back to Lanzarote instead next year as Benalmadena's not a great winter sun area, water parks for kiddies all closed since early October. 7 year old not happy!

Nearly as good here today! Often had colder days in August. Winter is shortened at this end anyway.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Jeez dawg you're blowing a lot of hot air up this way.
I'm not complaining mind I'm roasting here going around in a t shirt.
Is it too late for spreading fertiliser.:p:p:p
If this is climate change bring it on. I don't like winter anyway.:D

It could be argued that I blow a lot of hot air...:)

Just put a couple of irrigation guns going so I decided to spread a little AN beforehand....might have been spreading a little lime :).
