We had a hard white frost in Cavan, car still frosted at 8am even though it was very sunny. Wind that would cut through ya. Not much grass growth.

Well. In my area we had all the weather today. And then some weather. Followed by more weather. Everything from beautiful early August to the depths of winter. On a ten minute cycle.

Can't rely on the jars now at 1pm,vile ,vile vile wind hail sleet and snow,ya wouldn't see your hand in it,I know it hasn't fallen off yet 'cause I'm typing this

I travelled from Louth to Offaly today in the middle of the day. According to the thermometer in the jeep it varied from 10C to 3C. Any time there was a shower of hail it dipped down to 4C.

No obvious frost here this morning, showing 1c on jeep display, but I was looking at Cuilcagh in the distance and its well covered in Snow, looks good.

Just drove through from Carrigallen to Ballinamore, yes they are covered in snow, looks good but surreal in this time of year.

13 degrees, mild and a slight drizzle when I left Longford at lunchtime.
16 degrees and dry in NCD but it feels cooler as there is a good breeze.

i think it is to be dry until friday and getting milder even warm perhaps up to 17 degrees! shock -horror, a nice warm dry may is well over due, its usually just wet and windy
