    What was more strange, one of the Canadian men had a tshirt on with jacket open and no gloves or hat, yet it was that cold to freeze the waves?

    That seems very strange, unless its fresh water and not salt water? It doesnt look that cold there for that to happen???

    Thought I saw someone on that video wearing shorts and tshirt. What's the deal with that? Must have been something strange rather than just plain old cold.

    That's not waves freezing, that's clearly an ice sheet being rammed into the coast by underwater currents and so you get on upward thrust. It's exceptional because it's moving so fast, you would expect it to be slow process.
