Afaik, there has been at least one and possibly two deaths on Condell Rd.

a young teenager was killed crossing the condell road a year or 2 ago, and there was an accident in which 2 kids possibly died after their car was hit by a truck, not sure on the exact details of the last one but that was fairly recent too. someone else may know the exact details

Red one on the Ennis Rd now - opp Supermacs, anyone caught fully deserves to be caught, the van has a flashing amber beacon on the roof and a bright (white) light pointing in the direction of oncoming vehicles, if you cant see this van then you really shouldn't be driving.

Is that actually a camera van? Have never seen any of them with the aforementioned lighting

Neither have I but it was certainly a camera van, red van with the signage clearly visible.

When I saw it first I thought he may be reversing but as I passed the driver was not in the front of the van so must have been operating the camera.

I think its about time this thread was edited so the Opening Post is a list of all KNOWN locations.

    1. Mulgrave Street(between Prison and Texaco)
    2. Ennis Road(Across from old O'Mara Motors)
    3. Newport(Outside Nursing home)
    4. Ennis Road(Just passed Topaz outbound)
    5. N18 Inbound(Just before Caherdavin Exit)
    6. Dock Road(Lay by between Topaz's)

These are all I can think of right now. Each time somebody adds a new one a Moderator should move it to Post #1.

Another location would be between the Coonagh and Clonmacken roundabouts

Where abouts is this one? which Topaz is this? I don't think there's a speed camera location between Greenhills Hotel and Ivan's Shop.

Should have meant: Between Coonagh Roundabout and Clondrinagh Roundabout just passed the Topaz

I know it ain't in Limerick, but I'm sure there might be a lot of folks travelling from Limerick to Galway on occasion. I spotted a red (and clearly marked) camera van just outside Kilcolgan today and in the same spot last Sunday.

Must try read the plates if I see it again but I'd nearly guarantee its the same van thats always parked on the Caherdavin exit just before the tunnel.
