Back to the football, only the third game this weekend and its Mega bucks Mancini vs wiley Moyes

Everton have a tremendous record vs City in recent years, I think Lescott has something to do with it.

I predict a tight game, all eyes will be on handbags tevez no doubt

Everton will pack the midfield with a likely bunch of

Neville Fellaini Peanut (if fit) Coleman and Rodwell
    Cahill

A lone striker (or none at all!) of Becks/Yakubu or Saha

The jurys out on who will win for me......

Aristocrat would suggest a legacy of wealth in a particular family. City ain't aristocrats; they're like the bloke from a Council Estate who won the Euromillions.

oh yes predicted to be about -8 degrees centigrade around kick off time! plenty of hot air on here though

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,116 ✭✭✭✭RasTa

    -8?

All the subs will be wearing below

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,476 ✭✭✭✭Ush1

    Tevez still to start yeah?

Average score in the Fantasy Footie is 4, some bloke has over 40 points with Tevez and Yaya Toure still to play!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,498 ✭✭✭ironbluedun

yea they said on the radio it was -16 in Manchester last night....so their -8 prediction is probably correct....but the pitch is supposed to be in great form, with no pitch inspection required, apparently.

(It’s a bit disingenuous referring to Everton as paupers, is that a SKY thing?)

Everton have won their last 3 visits to City and have won 5 out of the last 6 between the teams. Obv Arteta is a loss but I fancy Everton to get something here. Draw no bet is 11-4, will have some of that. City cant score at home and still unsure if Tevez is gonna play. Mancini should drop him really after his transfer request and will lose the players respect further if Tevez plays.

How many snood thingies will be on display tonight I wonder :D

All good points Everton have done well against city recently, and i wouldn't be taking them for granted. But I think sooner or later the goals will come at home for city.

Either way, should be a good game with a lot riding on it. City could be top at Xmas for the first time in donkeys (allbeit under fortunate circumstances) and Everton need to start getting some points to save their season. Good to have MNF after the non-event at the weekend.

yeah im thinking of the sneaky bet on everton.
surely city will buckle under the pressure of going top and also from what ive seen of everton recently they have been playing pretty well

fully expecting a thrilling 6-6 draw with Tevez scoring all 6 for City and Cahill & Coleman getting 3 goals and 3 assists apiece.

    Lump on imo...

Should be interesting to say the least.........Either way, win lose or draw, I'm gonna enjoy it....Best present ever was to see the smile on me Dad's face when I reminded him that City could go top if we win tonight for the first time at Xmas since 1929...PRICELESS, considering he was born in '38 and has followed City up and down thru' thick and thin I hope it happens.:)

Andy Gray: "I wonder how Barcelona would fare up at the Britannia or Blackburn with the long ball tactics" - oh God.

When did he say this?

Have to say, the Man City line up looks attacking, the entire midfield usually likes to make forward runs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Stupid poxy 4am kick offs

And Tevez as captain is a bloody joke. There's some laughing stock material right there.

Don't be surprised. On Balotelli he said that "we don't know much about this boy". ffs, he has three Serie A titles, a Champions League title and an Italian Cup. Andy Gray of course doesn't realise that there is life outside of England.

I hope he takes it off before he scores a header, or else he could get sent off for deliberate handball.
