Hi all, complete noob to fish keeping so bare with me but basically I have a new tank that I am in the middle of cycling, the water is cloudy and there is a plastic smell coming from it. I’m guessing its from the plastic ornaments or plants which I did wash. Is the plastic smell normal, non toxic and go away or will I have to start again?

Plastic smell is probably from the silicon sealer used to hold the glass together. Don't worry about the cloudiness. You can never wash new 'clean' gravel enough. It will clear in time.
