21-12-2010 4:03pm#1Christmas is upon us, and some of us are in the Christmas mood, and want some festive fun in our Anime as a result :P So here's my rundown of recommended Anime to watch over the holidays!
Azumanga Daioh Episode 17
Love the series, this episode basically asks the question of what our loveable group believe in. Always tongue-in-cheek and highly recommended for a festive laugh :pac:
Itsudatte My Santa!
2 Episode series is about a young fella that basically hates Christmas, he's named Santa and is to change his thoughts of Christmas. Think Scrooge with Anime and comedy
Love Hina Christmas special
Don't really need to say much about this :P Watch it.
Winter Garden
Winter Garden is the spinoff arc of Di Gi Charat, but it's actually far better and mature. Basically a girl on Christmas Eve falls in love with a guy he meets and romance ensues. Well animated and nice story to it
Tokyo Godfathers
How did I nearly forget this one. Anyone who hasn't watched it, watch it. Lovely Christmas story :P
Lucky Star Eps 11-13
The three episodes span the period of Christmas to New Years. Very enjoyable to watch.
Popotan!
The entire series is Christmas themed, although moreso towards the end than widespread. Time travelling Christmas fun! It's decent, not the best, but enjoyable for short bursts of viewing
Mahoromatic Ep 5
Bit of everything thrown into this episode, well worth watching though.
Read or Die Ep 10
Love this series, episode 10 is seriously funny and pleasant to watch, basically Nenene gets 2 invitations and things go beserk afterwards
Kanon
While the show doesn't strictly focus on the Christmas theme, a lot of the show focuses on the Christmas/Wintry atmosphere. Excellent anime, recommended to watch

Heart warming and all round enjoyable episode that can tug your heart if you're not careful :pac:

Not exactly Christmassy again, but it has the genuine atmosphere as well as a very interesting snowball fight :P
Kamichu! Ep 13
Good epsiode of an enthralling series that forms the basis of the hatred and offended of the festivities of Christmas.

I think it's been expressed by Azuma that it's too episodic to adapt it well as an anime.
Ooh, there's a bit on wikipedia about it. "Azuma said there were no plans for it to be animated;[32] he reiterated this 5 December 2008, claiming that the stories and style of Yotsuba&! are not well-suited for animation"0 -
