Sky can't show 3pm games, it's to help attendances I think.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Yep, it's a gammy set up. Unless you can find a boozer with access to some weird channels that might have it, you'll be watching it on the net.

    This is most concerning.
You must open your mind to new teams and indeed perhaps new sports.
The irish pub is for socialise, not for watching Manchester.

Ah yeah it's just dissapointing were all big footie fans and all united and Sunderland fans, would make for a good day out.

I wonder if Stevens day was on a Saturday this year maybe setanta would have showed it as they show the 3pm matches on Saturdays!!

We always go the same boozer so only way now is if I contact the pub and ask If they can get any weird channels that are showin it and sure offer him a few quid but sure we'd be putting enough money behind the bar from the booze! It's very unlikely it's a smallish pub.

    Cheers anyways.

Sunderland are 10-1, draw no bet for this. Amazing price. Their strikeforce of Wellbeck, Gyan and Bent are dangerous.

Welbeck will be illegible from the loan terms.

Except Welbeck won't be playing, and Cattermole will also not be playing.

Will be a tough game for United, no doubt, but they are two big losses for Sunderland.

Forgot about that. Ya 2 big losses alright. Still at 10-1 they are way overpriced in the Draw no bet market.

It's a good price but ya can't see united losing at home there defensivly great at the moment vidic playing deadly..

but sure results are all over th place at the moment remember Chelsea losing 0-3 to them recently

It's not just Sunderland's attack that's been playing well, defensively they've been excellent recently.

Yeah 10/1 are great odds I must admit.

    They're 15/2 DNB, 10/1 for straight win

Id be more interested in the odds the game will go ahead and not be called off due to the weather

    Very true

I fear most games will be off and Stevens day will be depressing!

    how many ESPN's are there?

I see that the match ain't on it but the ESPN in USA is showing it live. Kick off 8.25 there time obviously.

I have ESPN AMerica bit it doesn't show footie it is an add on with the Ntl digital pack I got so now I wonder if it will come through on that station.

Nah, ESPN America never have EPL.
No British channels are allowed to show 3PM games, so that attendances don't drop in stadiums.

I've heard of that before and was in uk before and couldn't find anywhere showing matches at 3 what a joke

I thought setanta/ 1 might be showing it as they do the 3pm games

Probably not allowed 'cos it's a Sunday or something, feckin' annoying that streams will be needed.:(

Setanta 1 or Setanta Ireland usually have one on Saturdays, but they're allowed to 'cos there's no Setanta in England.

    Sunderland fan here.

Mensah, Cattermole and Welbeck are all massive losses for us.

We'll line up something like this:
    Gordon

    Al-Muhammadi Onouha Ferdinand Bardsley

    Malbranque Richardson Henderson Zenden

    Bent Gyan
If we had a full side I'd be confident of putting up a decent fight to get a draw, but United will have too much for our makeshift side IMO.

As we did against Chelsea, we'll go out and attack from the off but ultimately I think United will control the midfield and win the game 2-0.

Oh, we have an awful habit of gifting goals to players that have been struggling to score for ages so get your money on Rooney to score his first goal from open play since the Ice Age.

As for viewing the game, it'll be on virtually every dodgy channel around so a stream on the internet will easily be found. I use Flash Sport Streams which is a subscription site but shows Sunderland live every week.

True. But they have no Welbeck, Cattermole, Mensah, Turner. Will be expecting 3 points!

is this definately not on tv? s*ite?!!!

impossible to predict how we will line up tomorrow, taking the following 2 weeks worth of games into account. im not even going to bother trying to pick the team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,161 ✭✭✭Average-Ro

I think Fergie will be more inclined to get this run of games of to a good start after going so long without a match. I can see him going for as strong a team as possible and rotating against West Brom maybe.

I'm more worried about Birminham away than tomorrows match TBH.

Which is the South American channel were they cover old rock n' roll songs and change the lyrics when someone scores? Whatever it is, it's hilarious!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

There will be plenty of streams available. Star Sports will be showing it anyway therefore plenty of sopcast streams.

Actually, Star are showing the Livepool - Blackpool game and ESPN are showing the United one.

Has anyone had experience of downloading Sopcast on a Mac Book? Have had a look at one guide but it's fairly complicated and alot of people claims it has many glitches on the thread in question!
    Cheers..

I had a look into doing so when I first got my Mac a few months ago but failed.

What I've done is partition my hard drive so I can boot up into Windows and watch sopcast from there. It's the only time I ever use it.

Yeah unfortunately Sopcast isn't available on Mac and neither is Veetle. I run windows using parallels and then use Sopcast.

The best one I ever saw was some wigan game, don't think it was against us, but Rodallega scored and he started off: Ro-o-o-o-rodallllleeeegaaaaa!!! to the tune of Sweet Child of Mine, and went on for ages. I watched the rest of the game on full volume after that.

Now that I think about it, it might actually have been the same game Carrick got serenaded too. The game keysersoze was on about.

Will utd win this easy? I know suderland are missing a few players but would that not give sunderland players more of an incentive to just stay behind the ball and play for a point

I've done it but never got it to actually work, I can open the program but channels never actually load.

I wonder will the lack of match practice have any effect on the team. Valencia on 7th December and Arsenal on 13th December both at home are the only games United have played this month so far!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

My source has told me the Sunderland side. This is a definite:
    Gordon

    Al-Muhammadi Onouha Ferdinand Bardsley

    Malbranque Henderson Riveros Zenden

    Bent Gyan
It will be interesting to see how Riveros performs in the centre of midfield. His only other start for us was a 45 minute cameo against Spurs in which he was fairly poor.

Unfortunately, as I said before, our lack of important 1st team players means I can see Manchester United winning 2-0.

It will be a long time before Sunderland go to a Top 4 side and sit back after what happened in the Chelsea game (i.e, we attacked and hammered them).

Sunderland will give it a good go regardless of personnel.
