point of this is now though. Hopefully, he is a future winner! Has a year or two to do it.

The general feeling of this thread is Balotelli is a good player, but his temperment and his ego take drastically away from it.

Which is fair. He needs to stop thinking hes gods gift to football and work hard at making sure other people think it too. And start playing consistantly.

Balotelli does not has the commitment to become the great player he should be I feel.
He has had success too early in career. Unlike for example Ronaldo, he has no desire to become world best.
His desire it would seem is to live flash life - and he already has succeed in this.
Poison chalice at any football organisation I feel.

Balotelli is exactly the same as Anelka was when he was his age....Mario will mature and become a very good player with time, the lad is just like a lot of young lads his age naive, cocky and feeling a just bit invincible .......he just needs to grow up a bit, thats all. A player who has not yet came anything near realising his potential. It will be interesting to see if he can do it or not? i suspect he can.

I don't think Anelka was ever like Balotelli is.

    Reckon Anelka was worse.

Balotelli and Bendnter would be a dream strikeforce. If both were as good as they think they are.

Anelka just had bad advisers. The only trouble Anelka gave was him and his people looking for transfers.

Dont know if it has been posted yet, but the Mirror's Headline on this story is

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has claimed Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is the only player in the world who is better than him

    What quality journalism

I agree with everything Mario is alleged to have said. In the next couple of years he will eclipse Messi to be the recognised best.

Think Wilshere will prove to be the better player over his career while Balotelli pisses his talent away because of his attitude.

wilshere is a good player but lacks a bit of pace.
Think there is too much money involved for Balotelli to be allowed just piss his career away as you say.

I really hate the way the word GREAT is associated with so many footballers, gets a bit wearing and meaningless if anyone that can kick a ball is great, sure they are all great.great great great me arse,
