Somebody give me a good reason why England doesn't use the multi-ball system?

In England they use one match ball for the whole game no matter what. In Europe whenever the ball goes out they just use another ball straight away.

Am I the only one that imagined 20 balls on the field at the same time.

The Premier League don't use it because the home team for each fixture then has an opportunity to gain an advantage by instructing their ball boys to return the ball more slowly to the away team. It's caused plenty of arguments in the Football League where teams can chose to use it or not.

The English system sounds more fair.

But it just seems to slow it all down. Watching the barca match tonight there was no way the Athletico keeper could slow the game down because he was given a football straight away. I know what people mean when they say it gives the advantage to the home team but it will equal itself out. Puts the ball in play more times which leads to more chances and therefore more goals.

    The home club.
well that doesnt seem fair then, wouldnt the home team always choose to use it then

If they want to keep the tempo high, then yes. If they don't, then no.

This shows what a quick throw in can do

Although this was in the PL, it was just luck that the ball went to Sidwell. In another league this could have happened with any quick thinking ball boy

The one on the pitch at the end of the match.

Was it a Serie A game where the ball boy placed the ball in the corner quadrant which lead to the home team scoring?

The one on the pitch at the end of the match.

I thought that was just a British tradition??

Now that you say it, it might be. I'm not sure.

Did anyone watch the Real Madrid - Levante game last night? If so did either/both of Benzema and Ronaldo bring home a match ball?
